The American Football Coaches Association is holding its annual conference down in Charlotte, North Carolina, this week.
Tuesday night at its award ceremony, Urban Meyer promised Ohio State would "be better" in 2017.
Wednesday, the trade industry group issued a series of endorsements and condemnations.
The AFCA likes the idea of adding a 10th full-time assistant coach, an issue on which the NCAA will vote in April.
AFCA is unanimous across the board in supporting a 10th full-time assistant coach added to coaching staffs.

It does not, however, like Power 5 conferences expanding into Friday night broadcasts, as the Big Ten plans to do starting this fall:
AFCA also issues "condemnation" of Friday night games because it conflicts with high school games nationally.

Perhaps most interesting, however, is a proposition to change redshirt stipulations:
AFCA proposing new eligibility model. Any season where student-athlete plays in 4 or fewer games can be counted as a redshirt year.

Whether the NCAA adopts any of these proposals remains to be seen.
