Arkansas lost to Missouri, 48-45, on Friday. The loss knocked the Razorbacks to 4-8.
Arkansas sachems didn't wait until the sun rose to relieve Bert, our sweet baby boy, of his duties. Apparently they didn't even wait until he got off the field:
Bielema: "I was informed coming off the field I would no longer be the coach at Arkansas."

Don't expect a football guy like Bert to shun the school that is about to pay him millions of dollars to go away, though:
Bielema: I will do anything and everything I can to make Arkansas better. Im a big Arkansas fan. ... Whoever they bring in, Ill be happy to help.

The infamous, cantankerous troll leaves behind quite the legacy:
Bret Bielema's record at Arkansas in the SEC was 11-29 in his 5 seasons. He was 18 games OVER .500 in Big Ten play when he was at Wisconsin.

Hopefully this clears a Big Ten team to hire him in whatever capacity, even if a janitor. The conference is better when villains roam its sidelines, and few are (literally and figuratively) bigger than Bert.
