I'm sure you thought that title was a little jab at the overall design of an alternate uniform, but it's not.
Notre Dame is literally wearing New York Yankee-themed uniforms complete with pinstripes and a monochromatic navy blue color scheme, presumably in hopes of winning 65 percent of its games this season.

The idea is that they're playing in Yankee stadium and wanted to pay homage to their hosts, but I don't believe that. They're absolutely trying appeal to the army of people who are both Notre Dame and Yankees fans due to loose family connections.
