Joe Burrow's rookie season has come to an early conclusion.
During the third quarter of the Cincinnati Bengals' game against the Washington Football team, the former LSU and Ohio State quarterback took a hit to his left knee and had to be carted off the field.

About an hour after he was carted off the field, Burrow confirmed in a tweet that he is out for the season, but he's already looking forward to 2021.

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, the injury is believed to be a torn ACL.
#Bengals QB Joe Burrow suffered a torn ACL based on the initial diagnosis, source said. There may be additional damage. Burrow signaled it with his tweet, but the MRI confirming the injury would end his stellar rookie season.

Following the injury, Burrow received support from players from both teams, including his former Ohio State teammates who now play for Washington: Chase Young, Dwayne Haskins and Terry McLaurin.

Before Burrow left Young said to him, "I said I love you and get well. I pat him on the head and said a little prayer. Nothing else I could do."
