Tom Herman's not leaving Austin. At least, not anytime soon.
Texas athletic director Chris Del Conte reiterated Saturday that Herman is the football team's head coach and says he is "excited to watch our players and program move forward."

Plenty of speculation that Herman – Ohio State's offensive coordinator from 2012 to 2014 – would get fired at the end of his fourth season at the helm of the Longhorns existed, and for good reason. Texas explored hiring former Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer, but he reportedly turned the opportunity down, per the Austin American-Statesman.
Herman is 31-18 in four years at Texas. The Longhorns went 6-3 this season, marking the fewest losses he's has as their head coach.
