Remember the iconic Alabama football photo that featured wide receivers on the field at Bryant-Denny Stadium? Texas A&M wide receivers recreated it over the weekend — except there was a noticeable difference in the pictures.

In the Alabama picture, Jerry Jeudy, DeVonta Smith, Henry Ruggs III and Jaylen Waddle walk around in uniform. Those four receivers were standout performers and first-round NFL draft picks for the Crimson Tide, with Ruggs (No. 12 overall) and Jeudy (No. 15 overall) entering the league in 2020, while Waddle (No. 6 overall) and Smith (No. 10 overall) entering in 2021.
In the Texas A&M picture, Wesley Watson, Chase Burton, Andrew Maleski and Blake Buntyn pace around Kyle Field in their uniforms. Those four receivers are walk-ons for the Aggies. While it's not impossible for a walk-on to be selected in the first round of the NFL draft (see Baker Mayfield in 2018, among other examples), it's safe to assume none of the four Texas A&M pass catchers will hear their names called in the first round by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in the coming years, adding to the humor of the Aggies' image.
This season, new head coach Mike Elko and Texas A&M will kick off 2024 against Notre Dame on Aug. 31. The Aggies and Irish will clash with College GameDay on campus in a top 25 season opener.
