Oklahoma State will revolutionize the business side of college football in 2024.

This season, the Cowboys will wear QR codes on their helmets that link to a donation page for the school's name, image and likeness fund. According to Jake Trotter of ESPN, the combination of QR code and helmet is believed to be a first in college football.

The QR codes on the back of each helmet will be 1.5 square inches in size. In a press release, the Oklahoma State athletic department stated that the codes will not be visible from the stands; however, those who watch the Cowboys on television can capture them on their phones.

"This is a revolutionary step forward to help keep Oklahoma State football ahead of the game," Oklahoma State head football coach Mike Gundy said. "It gives a chance for everyday fans across the world to have a real impact when it comes to supporting the NIL efforts for Cowboy football. I'm thrilled about this opportunity for our players."

In addition to the QR codes on helmets, QR codes will also be on each player's bag tag as the team enters Boone Pickens Stadium on Saturdays. They will also be placed on coasters in the premium areas of the stadium, as well as throughout the stadium and on the Oklahoma State football equipment truck.
