A former Ohio State quarterback commit in the 2024 recruiting class will be the starting signal caller for a Big Ten rival this season.
Freshman five-star quarterback Dylan Raiola earned the nod for Nebraska's season opener against UTEP on Aug. 31, the team announced on Wednesday.

Raiola committed to Ohio State in the spring of 2022, then decommitted from the Buckeyes in December. He also had a brief stint as a committed player to Georgia before ultimately flipping again to the Cornhuskers. His father, Dominic, played for Nebraska from 1997-2000 before being drafted by the Detroit Lions in 2001.
Per 247Sports' composite rankings, Raiola finished as the No. 21 overall player and No. 3 quarterback in the 2024 class, behind Julian Sayin (Ohio State) and DJ Lagway (Florida).
Raiola and Nebraska travel to Ohio Stadium on Oct. 26 in what will likely be a lively atmosphere in Columbus as the Buckeyes take on their former prized QB recruit.
