Steve Patterson isn't even officially out the door as Texas athletic director, but people are already clamoring for the Longhorns to hire Oliver Luck — the man they should've hired in the first place.
According to Bruce Feldman, however, there's a cult fringe at Texas who want to bring back an old icon:
Source tells @FoxSports "Not sure it'll go thru, but there will be a big push for Mack (Brown) to become the next AD at #Texas."

Mack recently washed his hands of all blood stemming from Texas' recent struggles (despite, you know, choosing Tyrone Swoopes over J.T. Barrett), and his relationship with Texas fans is tumultuous at best.
And how would that go with Charlie Strong? "Hey Charlie, meet your boss, the fired man you replaced." But hey, I guess Texas didn't get into this predicament by making good decisions in the first place.
