Ohio State enters at 53rd, tied with schools like Villanova and the University of Miami. 

In the Big 10, Ohio State is behind Northwestern (NERDS!), Michigan, Wisconsin, and Illinois. Tied with Purdue. 

Rankings are silly, especially comparing a smaller school like Villanova, with a different mission, to land-grant school like Ohio State, but they are always good fodder. 

Ohio State has come a long way since the early 90s. Only the top students from Ohio high schools can now get into Ohio State.
