Apparently, Norm had been battling with cancer for nearly 10 years. Never once heard him say a thing about it. That's some serious stoicism, especially in the typically narcissistic line of work he was in.

He was absolutely my favorite comic around. Truly a punk rock guy, totally did not care one whit about being anything other than funny and amusing. Where so many comics tend toward piety and sanctimony, Norm never did that. It was all about the joke.

We lost a real giant today.
