Driving to Rockford Ill from Columbus Thursday morning with the daughter. Maps is having us take 90 through Chicago. My question is is that going through Chicago or just on the freeway around Chicago? I have never been out that way and I know I sound like a puss but from the stories I read and not knowing the area I would like not to have to drive through downtown. Appreciate any info anyone has.
