2025 cornerback Jordyn Woods flips from Cincinnati and commits to Ohio State.
In a modern version of the JUGS machine, 2 Northwestern Engineering students have developed a robot that can accurately through passes as well as mix up passes and change the accuracy. It can over throw, under throw, randomly vary passes, and be programmed to simulate a team's QB. This should better help train WRs and allow multiple ones to train without the QB. Per this MS case study, WVU dropped pass rate went down 53% to 4% after using it.
Ona side note, it would be interesting to use it to prep defenses for specific QBs as well.
Historical QBs can also be simulated, so it should even be able to hit C deck.
For punting, it can fire off punts in quick succession.
Cost is around $50K per year, leading SEC boosters to ask "Why so cheap?"
No word yet on any NIL money.
edit: corrected WVU pass completion stat. Thanks Stevettt
