I face this strategic dilemma every year. My kids need to trick or treat, youngest requires supervision. They have amazing stamina, we will be out 90 minutes +. Nobody to stay at home and hand out the candy.
Do you leave the candy out on the porch with the classic note of "Take one please"? (I usually say "take two" because I'm not a monster).
There is always the one brother or friend tandem that you know will show up and just clean you out when nobody is looking. No getting around it.
What are your best strategies that ensure you can stay out AND you can provide candy for as many kids as possible?
