Giving credit where credit is due, ESPN put out a fantastic article this morning about Ohio State professor and heart researcher, Dr. Paul Janssen, and the incredible replica of Ohio Stadium that he built out of over 1 million Lego bricks. Created over a decade ago by Dr. Janssen, the Lego Shoe was moved from his basement to Ohio State's Thompson Library recently as part of an exhibit that celebrates Ohio Stadium's 100th anniversary this year.
However, not only is this an incredible replica of The Shoe, it's a fundraiser as well. For $25, you can purchase a seat in replica stadium, and Dr. Janssen will personally add a Lego figurine in the stands to represent you, with all proceeds going to support the University Archive and heart research at Ohio State.
