I bought this Samsung S23 Ultra from Verizon in early July, having traded in my old phone. I got an $800 dollar credit and owe a little under $400 on the new phone, a portion of which I pay every month with my service bill.

I am traveling in 1.5 weeks to Chile and Argentina. I need to use SIM cards from carriers in those countries. Verizon's international plan is a joke, and I am going to some really remote places. Verizon won't unlock my phone.

If it's impossible to get this phone locked, I need suggestions on getting a different phone or something for the trip, considering that I will need it to be unlocked in 1.5 weeks. Basically, I need a phone whose SIM card I can remove and that is unlocked. Any suggestions? This isn't the type of trip I can do with just wifi.
