What’s up 11W. Have some issues with a toilet I am trying to fix and want to see if any of you know if I am going about this the right way.
issue: the toilet bowl has a varied stream of water coming from the refill area in the bowl. So there is a constant stream, albeit slow, of water into the bowl. The water level in the tank slowly decreases. This causes the tank to refill every 15-20 minutes to every hour or so, depending on the flow.
context: I have a dual flush valve for more water to flush or less.
steps taken: I replaced the small rubber seal in the fill valve since that was the cheapest. Still runs. I then just got done replacing the fill valve, which is a fluid master 400A. Still running
Next Step: going to replace the dual flush valve with a fluid master.
after that, everything would be replaced in my toilet tank, aside from the structural toilet.
Thoughts on the steps mentioned above? I am watching YouTube and doing these updates, not a plumber but eager to learn.
Go Bucks.
