My warden, er wife, is an avid fan of The Ohio State Marching Band. She is aware of the new paradigm of pay for play for football players, so she asked why the band members do not get a cut of the NIL action?
Her argument is that TBDBITL is an integral part of the game day entertainment experience as much as the football players . The band members dedicate at least an equal amount of preparation time as do the athletes. So the world famous TBDBITL is deserving of pay she maintains.
Is this totally absurd or are we at the point that everything is being monetized?
