Been feeling a little nostalgic as I’m slowly approaching the big 4-0.
I grew up in Northeastern Ohio and played my high school football in southeastern PA. We were never great, but I loved those times and those brothers I bled for. We took that program to the best it’s been in a long time. I was fortunate to play with my brother and was a two time captain.
1.) I returned an interception along the home stand sidelines 65 yards during my senior homecoming game, finishing with 3 sacks, 12 tackles, and 2 forced fumbles.
2.) I played pulling guard in a wing-T offense. Sweep left and I cleared three defensive players en route to running down the sidelines with my younger brother for a 50 yard TD. We screamed “oh my god” in each others faces at least a million times as we crossed the goal line.
What’s your proudest high school football moment? I miss those lights. Can’t wait to hear what you got.
