Ohio State blows out Indiana, 38-15. Now, it's time to do the same to That Team Up North.
After reading through the fruit-bearing 'Deep Tracks' thread, I was called to remembrance a few tracks in my mind that landed as a final billboard hit for 70's & 80's groups quite a while after their heyday. The reason is that it seems like these songs get forgotten all too often due to little or no airplay. I was wondering what other songs the commentariat could muster up that fit this scenario?
For example, Journey landed @ #12 on the Hot 100 in late 1996 with "When You Love A Woman." This was their last hit and came 10 years after Raised On Radio and the hits that it spawned.
Foreigner had a #42 charter in 1995 with "Until the End of Time."
John Mellencamp landed one final time in the Top-40 @ #14 with "Key West Intermezzo" in 1996.
Beyond that, I'm stumped. I guess if anything, this is a public service announcement on some rock history, but I hope it grows legs.
