I haven't spent alot of time there, but my initial impression of TideFans.com is that its got some pretty intelligent posters there. Sort of like how I like to think 11W would be if the Mods swung the ban hammer a little more freely. Anyway, this thread there talks about how the narrative by the media that the old ways had more opportunities for more teams to win a NC is just a fraud. And he goes into great (although Alabama centric) detail making his case. Its actually a great read.
He starts by saying that only 29 teams have ever won an AP/UPI/Coach's Poll/BCS/CFP Championship and proceeds to make a case that even that number is inflated due to stupid circumstances. (He also make fun of Georgia which I like)
