I was just browsing the happenings over at our not-so-favorite website and found a rumor that he is possibly on his way out.  Keep in mind, he was brought in as co-DC with McDonald basically to form a single coach out of two completely different skillsets.  McDonald brought in the NFL experience and mind (he has only been a position coach to this point in his career), while Linguist brought in the college experience and recruiting chops.  Linguist spent a year in the NFL with Dallas, but other than that he has been coaching at the college level.

I think this would be a huge blow, considering that their glaring deficiencies right now are on the defensive side of the ball, and these two were brought in to overhaul the defense.  It could hurt even more with recruiting.  Keep in mind, Linguist also has previous ties to Buffalo when he coached there early on in his career.
