North Dakota State had won 8 of the last 9 FCS NC’s.  James Madison University was the only other school to get one in those 9 years & was the #1 ranked FCS team coming into the playoffs.

Sam Houston came from behind to take out NDSU.  In their next game they trailed by a lot late into the 3rd quarter (24-3?) & ended up winning something like 38-35 to get to the title game in Frisco, TX (Basically Dallas, I think).

in a game with a significant lightning delay SHSU lead most of the game but the #22 Dude who refused to be tackled gave the Jackrabbits the lead with about 4 min’s left.

SHSU regained the lead with 16 seconds remaining.

I know this was probably the worst game summary in the history of game summaries.

I now wish the FCS played in the spring every year.  That was really fun to watch & there were some good players.  The highlights neglect how good some of the defensive pass rushers were.
