Sellers in major markets are in a good place. Jim Harbaugh is one of them.
Former 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh's massive Bay Area home is for sale
I can tell you (I live in LA), prices in San Fran likely doubled since the recession. UPDATE: The house was purchase in 2012 for ~$6M. So, basically it doubled, then another million on top of that. This was purchased after his first season in San Fran. (I won't post the address on 11W, but a nice location)
The grounds include a main house, a guest home, a swimming pool with a diving board, an outdoor kitchen and a fire pit.
In the main house, which spans 8,500 square feet, there are five bedrooms and eight bathrooms. There's a mountain house vibe, with tall, beamed ceilings and lots of stone, wood and decorative ironwork.
Also... in case you wanna know EVERYTHING about Harbaugh and California Real Estate... another sfgate.com article written in the midst of the 'Revenge Tour' (Sept 2018).
Jim Harbaugh's Family Renting Out Their Coronado Beach House
(for those not in the know, Coronado is southwest of San Diego, on the ocean. ~500 miles south of San Fran, clearly just a vacation home when he was with the 49ers)
A sweet beach house in Coronado, CA, owned by the family of University of Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh, awaits some tenants with deep pockets in their khakis. The resort spread is now available to rent for prices ranging from $15,000 a month to $35,000 a month depending on the season and demand.
When it comes to real estate, the guy's a winner.
