My apologies in advance for not doing the fancy embed thing. Just had this brought to my attention and, while smart on behalf of the University/Program/Boosters this is, in my opinion, absolutely going to end poorly for the sport we love.
Won’t be long til any university with enough of an alumni base is setting up similar “charitable organizations” for all position groups. Recruiting will become less about what sort of environment and personal/professional development a University or staff/coach can provide and more about who’s got the deepest pockets.
I know it has been about deeper pockets before, but not like this. Makes me seriously question the future place of college football in my heart.
