Georgia-Alabama CFP title game averaged 22.6 million viewers across ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU. Up big from record-low of 18.7 million for Bama-Ohio State in 2021.
Second-lowest since CFP started in 2015.

The fact that OSU/Bama, two of the largest fanbases, had even worse ratings shows this isn't just a "tired of SEC" thing. But they've certainly got a big problem on their hands with everyone losing interest. The lack of expansion means nothing's going to change for a few years though.
Also, to put that 22m number in perspective, the second afternoon NFL game routinely gets 22-25m for just a regular season game (with big primetime games getting closer to 30, and playoffs in the 30s and 40s)
