The bottom dwelling schools of the ACC have officially extended and invite to SMU, CAL, and Stanford to drag the conference down even further. This is likely the final nail in the coffin that was keeping Florida St from jumping to the B1G.
(EDIT):
At this point Florida St knows that the majority of the ACC will take the crumbs from ESPN while their conference fades into obscurity. The Seminoles will get a full share from the B1G in order to draw them. This will quickly be more than the ACC sucks out of them in under 4 years.
The Grant of Rights gives the home broadcast rights to ESPN for the next decade. Yet neither Florida St. nor ESPN will want the big money games to be broadcast to a large audience. This is why when FSU jumps to the B1G they only play the worst B1G teams at home like Rutgers, Purdue, NW, and Illinios, until the ACC fully breaks apart like the PAC 12 did. All the away B1G games will stay with the B1G broadcast partners and will further damage ESPN since OSU, M*chigan, USC, Penn St and Oregon will be away games as long as the Grant of Rights exists.
While this is just speculation, I believe that Florida St. is finalizing the divorce papers as we speak.
(OP Edit): I've reposted this multiple times because I love the madness of conference realignment.
