Ohio State checks in at No. 2 in the first College Football Playoff rankings of 2024.
I tend to do rankings based on accomplishments + expected accomplishments (basically who would I bet on having the best accomplishments at the end of the season), rather than who the best team is. Be a really good team but loses? Sucks for you, you drop. Accomplishments aren't just wins and losses but how you control a game as well, but win/loss matters most.Unlike a lot of way people do polls, I don't drop or rank teams after each week, I'll do it fresh.
Teams in the 5-15 range really could make the jump up or fall down quickly, it's hard to really judge this early without too many meaningful games.
