Having read Pete Thamel’s latest report and especially seeing how steamed a “vast majority of coaches” were who wanted to know “‘What are we waiting on? We know what happened’”: if the conference won’t take some action by the beginning of next week, what would happen if the remaining teams on Michigan’s schedule decided they won’t play Michigan this year?
In other words, what if Maryland, Penn State, and Ohio State decided enough is enough—only a boycott will provide some form of justice if the B1G moves at a snail’s pace.
Doesn’t the B1G have enough evidence now to determine that Michigan has been engaging in illicit sign-stealing and that, no matter whether Harbaugh knew or not, the impact on games has been unquestionable (and therefore major punishment needs to be handed down)?
And, if the conference refuses to act in an expeditious manner, wouldn’t a boycott be appropriate?
I know a lot of fans here just want to play Michigan and kick its butt. I’m not so sure they have earned the privilege of playing their remaining games, period.
