I’ve seen a lot of speculation that Harbaugh being present on the sidelines doesn’t matter during the games. I highly disagree with that.
FWIW, Michigan averaged 32 PPG against UNLV, BGSU, and East Carolina without Harbaugh on the sideline.
Michigan averaged 45 PPG against Rutgers (solid D), Minnesota, Nebraska, Michigan State, and Purdue with Harbaugh on the sideline.
The glass half full take from Michigan would be that M was working through its new OL in the first three weeks and they were shaking off the rust. But they certainly weren’t sharp offensively in those first three games, and all three of those teams are horrendous.
I think Harbaugh is a big miss and we will see that tomorrow if the TRO is not granted.
