It is never too early to start looking ahead once your season is over, and that couldn't be more true for the way that it ended for us. There are a million and one things that need addressed going into the 2024 season, but one that hasn't been mentioned is the offensive philosophy, namely, the style of play needed from the quarterback position. Ryan Day has shown the ability to make changes in the past, but one thing that I will be looking for is whether he has the ability to change within himself offensively. Our QB room is most likely going to look like:
- Devin Brown
- Lincoln Keinholz
- Air Noland
- *Will Howard*
This will most likely be the first QB room for Day that will have legitimate athletes at the QB position across the board. Also, I believe that regardless of who we may be rooting for to win the job, all of the candidates will benefit from a style change that will allow them to be utilized in the ground game. No, I'm not looking for the Urban Meyer comfort blanket of running JTB 20+ times a game. But I am looking for these guys to be used to their fullest potential, and to put the most stress on a defense as possible.
I believe that Day has had a defense for the "pocket passer" mentality for the past few seasons, as CJ and Kyle both were best utilized as throwers only (I wish CJ would've tucked it and went much more, but I'm talking designed QB run game). But now there is no question that every QB on this potential 2024 roster will not only have the ability, but would best be used with designed runs. Will Ryan Day look in the mirror and put these wrinkles in?

Mods, can you move this over to the Ohio State Board? Thanks!
