So, I know that for many OSU fans, the season was over after The Game this year. And for other OSU fans, the mere fact that Michigan was able to play against Iowa, and able to play in the Rose Bowl, have led you to shut down, and see the complete collapse of college football. And I know that for a vast majority of you, you will NEVER root for Michigan. (FTR, this is as it should be. Don't root for Michigan, unless your kid or nephew is playing there.) Your teams of rooting interest will always be:
- OSU
- Whoever is playing Michigan.
My question is more simple. Are you or are you not going to watch the National Championship game this Monday night? And why or why not? Will you clean the house, work late, take your wife (or husband) out to dinner and a movie, take down the Christmas decorations and lights, knit doilies, or will you grit your teeth and watch the game?
I'm enough of a football fan that I will watch the semifinals and the championship game, regardless of who is playing. For me, it is a bit like the Superbowl: I will watch that game, even when I have no absolutely no rooting interest. (And of course, in the case of Monday night, you will hope that Penix is absolutely on fire and shreds Michigan's secondary.)
