Another Classic Example of Michigan "Discipline" - Basketball PG Suspended Only for Road Games

Found this curious and hilariously on brand.  Michigan basketball has suspended their best player in PG Dug McDaniel for the next 6 road games.  Yes, that says road games.  Not games, but road games.  Article says he will dress and be active for home games.  So he will be playing at home against OSU in a couple days, but intermittently suspended from here on out when they go on the road.

Now I get that the transgression is something academic in nature, and therefore not allowing him to travel with the team can "help" him focus on his academics.  But this is the most unusual punishment to have someone be suspended in an on again off again nature. Typically you are suspended full stop until whatever requirements are meant to return to playing with the team.

But it's Michigan.

EDIT - I should qualify that Howard's quote does not explicitly say he will PLAY in the home games, but if the intention was not to play him, then why wouldn't you just announce that he is suspended suspended (for all games).  Versus specifically calling out road games.
