Teams should not be penalized for losing on championship weekend.

I keep seeing Tennessee fans and Penn State fans debate on how they can get a home playoff spot, no team should move up from sitting home during championship game weekend. 

If Texas and Ohio State win this weekend and just happen to lose a rematch to Georgia and Oregon respectively, neither should drop behind a team that sat at home. If Miami wins this weekend and lose to SMU, they shouldn’t drop behind Penn State and Tennessee either. 

You’d basically be rewarding teams for missing their conference championship game which should not be the goal of the committee.
