Sanders is pushing the idea of in the spring doing what the NFL does during preseason. Teams will have joint practices for a few days with another team then will play a preseason game against that team.
I think because programs tend to be all over the place with their spring practice dates this might be a challenge. But I like the idea. Players won't get bored practicing against each other.
The other thing he said is that he doesn't see the spring games being an issue on players being seen by other teams then getting poached. He said if a player is leaving he has already been in discussions with other schools before that spring game and everybody already knows what players are able to do. He said if it's about saving money then just say it.
I 100% agree with his take.
