This is an old story but not a lot of people have heard it. It shows the heart and spirit of the Lady Buckeyes basketball team. Amy Scullion was in her first year of med school when she was asked to play again for the Lady Bucks. She had one year of elligibility left but had decided to forego it because she was accepted and enrolled in medical school. OSU approached her when they had the rash of injuries.
Now she balances playing for the Lady Bucks and working towards here medical degree at the same time. I just think that is extraordinary to be able to juggle both. Granted she doesn't get to every practice and event but she is still a very integral part of the team.
Stories like this really make me proud of the women's team for playing with such a shortage of players and still giving maximum effort and hustle. The future is bright at OSU, and I am looking forward to watching them in the NCAA.
