It's hard to imagine an outfit more protective over their brand than The Ohio State University. Young people out to make a quick dollar often find that out the hard way when they find themselves in court after marketing unlicensed merchandise.
Now, the university, through stipulations within their contract, has taken it a step farther by trademarking the head coaches name. Apparently, the proceeds realized will be split by the university and the coach's charitable foundation.
