What a turnaround of a week! After going 1-2 at Nebraska, the Buckeyes used the momentum from the win to propel themselves to a 4-1 week. It wasn't always easy, but they got the job done.
On Tuesday, Ohio State hosted an in-state opponent for the first time this season, playing Bowling Green. The Buckeyes opened up a 3-0 lead in the B3 thanks to an RBI double by Trey Lipsey to score Josh Stevenson and a 2-RBI double by Tyler Pettorini to score Matthew Graveline and Henry Kaczmar. The Falcons took the lead on a grand slam in the T6 and held that until the B8 when Mitchell Okuley tied the game on a fielder's choice by Stevenson followed by a 2-run homer by Lipsey to score Stevenson, giving the Bucks the late lead that they would preserve. Relief pitcher Zach Brown earned the win, bringing him to 3-0 on the year, and closer Justin Eckhardt earned his 5th save of the season.

For the weekend, Ohio State returned to B1G action against the Iowa Hawkeyes.
In game 1 on Friday, Ohio State got off to a 4-0 lead by the B3 thanks to a Nick Giamarusti 2-run homer to score Joseph Mershon in the B2 and an RBI-double by Graveline to score Kaczmar, who then stole home, in the B3. Iowa threatened a comeback, cutting the lead to 4-3 by the T5, but Ohio State held strong, responding with an RBI-single by Okuley to score Graveline and Mershon scoring on a wild pitch to stretch the lead to 6-3 in the B5. Mershon would knock in a couple more RBIs, scoring Pettorini in the B6 and Kaczmar in the B8 as the Bucks would hold on for an 8-5 series opening win. Both pitchers recorded a stat as starter Landon Beidelshies earned the win, striking out 7 Hawkeyes in 5.2 innings, and improving him to 4-5 while closer Blaine Wynk earned his first save of the year, striking out 4 Hawkeyes in 3.1 innings.

Game 2 on Saturday was more of a defensive game. Iowa drew first blood this time, opening up a 2-0 lead in the T2. Solo home run blasts by Kaczmar in the B2 and Isaac Cadena in the B7 gave the Buckeyes a chance to win, but Ohio State kept leaving runners stranded, and couldn't pull ahead as the Hawkeyes held on for the 3-2 win. Starting pitcher Gavin Bruni recorded the loss, dropping him to 2-2.

Game 3 on Sunday was a spectacular turnaround for the offense. Iowa scored first again with an RBI-single in the T1, but it was all Buckeyes from there. In the B2, Stevenson walked with bases loaded to score Okuley and an RBI-single by Trey Lispey to score Mershon would give Ohio State a 2-1 lead. In the B4, Kaczmar drew another bases loaded walk to score Mershon to stretch the lead to 3-1. Then in the B5, the Buckeye bats went crazy. Okuley hit a solo homer to center, Ryan Miller hit a 2-run homer to right field, scoring Mershon, and Lipsey hit a 2-run homer to center, scoring Stevenson to break the game open with an 8-1 lead. In the B7, Stevenson hit his own 2-run homer to left field, scoring Mershon, and in the B8 after a quick discussion by the officials, Stevenson just barely beat out a double play attempt, bringing Zach Freeman home to end the game for an 11-1 win.
