Great win last night for the Bucks, hopefully Hepner is ok. Some highlights:
165 - Sammy is back and looks pretty damn good considering all the damage that stupid POS did in the carjacking. Also, he is huge compared to when we last saw him - clearly putting that work in with the weights.
His younger brother (VATech) is around the same size, so it's not surprising Sammy was able to bulk up. Here's hoping we can see him at 100% (Ryan says he is about 70% right now).
125 - McCrone looked pretty good after a sluggish start.
133 - Apparently you should avoid swatting at Bouzakis face. Wondering if Nic goes to 141 next season and Davino slides in to this slot.
141 - baddest man alive did bad things.
149 - D'Emilio's last ride for the Scarlet and Gray.
157 - Eh, paddy has a lot of work to do to live up to the hype. Wonder if he can maintain the cut to 157.
165 - Sammy. Unreal. If he actually cuts to 157 with his new size, and gets back to 100% - going to be fun.
174 - WTF is going on here? Welsh, National runner up, is taking a redshirt to bump up and instead we will have some combo of Hepner (way undersized) and Kharchala (love Carson, but he struggled to make the weight last year and hasn't finished a season healthy in a while).
184 - Ryder was a monster. This weight is looking a bit log jammed right now, next year will be worse.
197 - Geog looked great. What happens with Shumate?
Hwy - Feldman looks to be fully back from the neck injury. My guess is last year he was at 85-90%.
Lots of depth here, but some weird redshirt decisions. If Gallagher can't step it up, I wonder if they bump Demilio, Mendez, and Bouzakis all up one and slot Davino in at 133, or bump McCrone up and have kilkeary at 125.
165 - Hepner being hurt could have an impact on what they do here. He is clearly NOT a 174lb guy. So if Sammy does move down, and Hepner can't go - will Gallagher bump up? Will it be Fr. Birden or Rs Soph Chase?
174-197 - so many dudes here. Welsh, Rogotzke, Shumate, Geog are all Sophomore or RS Soph. Kharchala as a Graduate. Going to be interesting to see.
No other HWY on the roster at all is interesting as well. Let's hope Feldman stays healthy.
Very excited to watch this team this season.
