Should Men's College Basketball Go to a Quarter System Instead of Halves

Personally I think it should be 4 12 minute quarters like the NBA. They would still have tv timeouts at the 8 and 4 minute mark of each quarter, and I feel it would make the game better. Not just being able to make halftime adjustments but also quarter adjustments. I also feel they should drop the shot clock to 24 with an 8 second violation just like the nba

A couple additional things I would like to add.

For everyone saying that the length of game is to long if you go to 4 12 minute quarters. This statement is false. Over the past 4 years, the length of game in the NBA averages 2 hours and 12 minutes. While college basketball games average out to about 2 hours 10 minutes, give or take several factors.

People have also said more possessions = more injuries. This is also false, look at the number of possessions in a much more physical sport Football, possessions have increased dramatically thanks to no huddle hurry up offense and yet the only thing I see more of is faking injuries, not actual injuries.

Next people say if you want to watch the NBA just go watch the NBA. I do, and trust me it is a much better product. Much more free flowing, running up and down the court. Not standing around for 20 seconds. Offense runs much faster. If you want to se what fun looks like go back and watch Gonzaga vs Memphis they were running up and down the court. It was incredibly fun to watch
