Ohio State women’s basketball added a top-50 overall prospect to its 2024 recruiting class on Saturday with the commitment of Ava Watson, a point guard from Atlanta ranked as the No. 47 overall prospect in the class by ESPN.

The 5-foot-7 point guard from Buford High School becomes the second player in a week’s time to commit to Ohio State’s 2024 class, joining Ella Hobbs, a 6-foot-3 forward from North Carolina ranked as the No. 83 overall prospect in the class.

Ohio State’s 2024 class also includes Seini Hicks, a wing from Cincinnati whose younger brother, Chris Henry Jr., is a top wide receiver target for Ohio State football in the 2026 class.
