If Rutgers loses to Nebraska tonight, the Buckeyes control their own path to a first round bye if they beat Rutgers next Sunday. Most of the talking heads say osu has to beat Rutgers and win at least 2 games in the tournament to be in the talk for an ncaa bid. My thought is if you need to get two wins, it would be easier to get 2 wins in rounds 1 & 2 rather than in 2 & 3. I realize that on the slim chance they would win the b1g tourney, it would then take 5 wins rather than just 4 with the bye.
