2025 cornerback Jordyn Woods flips from Cincinnati and commits to Ohio State.
Ohio State cornerback Shaun Wade is one of 42 preseason nominees on the watch list for the 2020 Lott IMPACT Trophy.
The Lott Trophy – whose IMPACT acronym stands for Integrity, Maturity, Performance, Academics, Community and Tenacity – honors a defensive player in college football who both excels on the field and demonstrates high character off the field.
Former Ohio State safety Jordan Fuller was a finalist for the award last year, when Auburn defensive tackle Derrick Brown was the recipient. James Laurinaitis (2008) is Ohio State's only previous winner of the award.
Wade, a fourth-year junior, is expected to be an All-American candidate in 2020 after making the decision to stay at Ohio State for another year instead of entering the NFL draft. After starting at slot cornerback for the Buckeyes last season, Wade is moving to outside cornerback this year and will be the leader of Ohio State's secondary.
