During this past Saturday's game against Akron, the camera panned over the student section during a kickoff and it showed all of the students with 1of their shoes off and in their hand.

Is this a new tradition?

Does anybody know the origins of this tradition?

What other OSU football traditions do you know that most other fans do not know about? For example, during kick offs, OSU fans would chant O-H-I-O AND some fans would add "rip their fucking heads off" at the end. Another tradition would be when South End student section would chant/scream all the way to North End student section and the North End student would chant back.
