Former Ohio State defensive tackle Haskell Garrett avoided major injury after suffering a scare during Thursday’s Senior Bowl practice.
After he was blocked into the ground by Michigan offensive lineman Andrew Stueber during a one-on-one drill, Garrett immediately reached for his shoulder and stayed down on the field for a minute before leaving the field with an athletic trainer.

Even so, Garrett said he will be able to play in Saturday afternoon’s game, which is scheduled for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff in Mobile, Alabama and will be televised on NFL Network.
I will be playing on Saturday..

Ohio State tight end Jeremy Ruckert, who was named by numerous draft analysts in attendance at the Senior Bowl as a “winner” from each of the first two days of practice, also did not appear to be participating in drills during ESPNU’s broadcast of Thursday’s Senior Bowl practice. Though he was in attendance and in uniform, a report from Draft Countdown’s Brian Bosarge indicated that Ruckert’s week could be over, and another tight end was added to the American Team’s roster on Thursday.
If Ruckert does not play in Saturday’s game, Tyreke Smith and Garrett would be the only Buckeyes on the field for this year’s Senior Bowl.
