Reilly Jeffers, who has helped Tony Alford coach Ohio State’s running backs for the past two years as a program assistant for the Buckeyes, is joining Trent Dilfer’s new coaching staff at UAB as tight ends coach, according to a report by The Athletic’s Bruce Feldman and Matt Fortuna.

Jeffers previously worked for Dilfer as the tight ends coach at Lipscomb Academy before he joined Ohio State’s staff in 2021. The job at UAB will be Jeffers’ first full-time coaching position at the collegiate level.
Alford shared his support for Jeffers on social media shortly after the news was made public.
