The countdown is on until kickoff on Sept 2nd against the Hoosiers.   How about we count down the days and pass the time by picking the best player/jersey to represent each number.   Need some help here from the old timers to fight off recency bias.

As of 8/7/23 in the AM, there are 26 days left until kickoff.  I don't know all the players that wore number 26, but I'm going with this guy:
