Paul Keels and Jim Lachey are being honored as the 2024 Agonis Club Person of the Year at Villa Milano on Wednesday, August 7th at 6:00. Along with dinner, there will be a meet and greet for attendees with the football team’s play-by-play team.
Keels has been with WBNS radio and the Ohio State Buckeyes Radio Network as “The Voice of the Buckeyes” since 1998. Keels’ soothing and descriptive style has provided the play-by-play action of Ohio State football and basketball games. The Cincinnati native is a five-time NSMA Ohio Broadcaster of the Year and is in the Ohio Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
Lachey was an All-American offensive lineman for the Buckeyes from St. Henry and an All-Pro player and Super Bowl champion with the Washington Redskins in the 1980s. Lachey began his Buckeye broadcast career in 1997 and is the perfect complement to Keels on gameday.
Many fans will remember this epic call at the end of the 2003 BCS National Championship Game. To buy tickets ($75 for one, $600 for a table of eight) and for more details about the event, go here. Proceeds go to fund scholarships for scholar athletes in the Columbus and Central Ohio area.
