This is a bit of a wild hypothetical, but bear with me. I’ve seen lots of talk from scUM fans say that OSU cheated rather than them. (accessing practice footage, etc.) Let’s say for the sake of discussion that OSU is found to have operated the same exact cheating program Michigan did (advanced scouting, refusing to cooperate with investigators, covering up evidence, etc.). How would you react? Would you walk away from being a fan of the program? Would you defend it, like many scUM fans have been? I wonder if there would be more OSU fans disappointed with the team/ending their fandom vs. defending it like with scUM, because it certainly seems to lean one way with them.
