Yet "checking my hearing aids and bifocals", I am getting little of that vibe in the lead up to the game. Even Eleven Warriors has not gone over board in game week articles and features.

Could it be expanded playoffs and conference changes have reduced the importance of any one game?

Could it be the evolving professional model of college football has reduced interest?

Or is it just my old age and living in the land of the ACC and SEC that has dulled my perception?
